About Corinne

Training: Australian/American soprano Corinne Cowling holds a Master of Music (Vocal Performance) with Distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD), as well as a Certificate II in Musical Theatre, Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) and Graduate Diploma (Opera) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Corinne was a finalist in the 2014 IFAC Australian Singing Competition and won a full scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she also won the Schubert Institute Competition.  From a young age Corinne trained in classical ballet and was awarded an ARAD Advanced 2 with Distinction.  She trained at the Charlesworth Institute, Western Australia, and the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague, where she was selected to perform pieces by Jiří Kylián on tour across The Netherlands for the Holland Dance Festival in 2010.  Credits while training include: Gretel in Hansel and Gretel and Angelica in La Serva e L’Ussero at WAAPA, Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, Fraquita in Carmen, Fanny in Cambiale di matrimonio and Nanetta in Falstaff for GSMD Opera Scenes.

Other performances include; Corinne performed as soprano soloist in the major concert halls across the UK and Istanbul for Raymond Gubbay’s Johann Strauss Gala National UK Tour 2017-2019. Other performances include: Other Love Songs at the Wigmore Hall, Guildhall Artist Platform recital at the Barbican Hall, Cosette in Pimlico Opera’s Les Misérables, Peep-bo in Charles Court Opera’s The Mikado, Aréthuze and Bubikopf in Lost and Found Opera’s Actéon and The Emperor of Atlantis, Barbarina and cover Susanna in Clonter Opera’s Le nozze di Figaro, Ensemble in West Green House Opera’s Candide, Madama Butterfly and Die Fledermaus.
