Iain trained at the Guildhall School of Music.
Most recently Iain was the musical supervisor for That Man! (Hippodrome, London) and a recent workshop of new musical Grand Central (Charing Cross Theatre).
Iain was the the Musical Supervisor for the Whatsonstage Awards for five years. He was also Musical Supervisor for “Daddy Cool the Musical” (World Tour), “Dancing in the Streets” (West End) and “Bat Boy” (Shaftesbury Theatre). In Europe he was Musical Supervisor for “Footloose” and the Pearl Anniversary tour of “The Rocky Horror Show” in Europe, UK and West End. He also supervised workshops for the new musicals of “The Realness” (Only Connect), “Super Alice Smith” (Perfect Pitch), “The Diary of Ann Frank”, “A Girl Called Dusty” (David Ian Productions), “Robin and the Seven Hoods” and “When Harry Met Barry. Iain was recently the Musical Supervisor for Torsten, The Beautiful Libertine with Erasure’s Andy Bell. He was nominated for a Ned Sherrin Award (Evening Standard) for his Musical Supervision on Parade along with Best Off Broadway award for his Orchestrations for Mack And Mabel at Southwark Playhouse.

Iain was Assistant Conductor for both the Scottish Opera and Ballet Companies. He has been the Musical Director for many popular performers including Alison Moyet, Mary Wilson, Rita Coolidge, Ben E. King, The Nolans, The Crystals, The Platters and The Drifters, and was recently sister Vocal Coach with The Saturdays.
Television Credits include Late Edition (STV), Dana’s Festival (STV), Road to the Isles (STV), and Stars in Your Eyes (BBC SCOTLAND), ZDF, RTL Germany. He has also made many broadcasts for Radio Scotland and Radio Clyde, as well as in Europe. Producer and Arranger for Klub Records. Compositions include “Cloud”, “A Cantata for Xmas”, and “Decades”. Concerts include H.R.H. Prince Edward and Tribute to Sir Harry Lauder (Jimmy Logan).
